The Atlantic Canada Fish Farmers Association (ACFFA) today released the proceedings from its 2014 Annual Workshop and Research Review.

The Atlantic Canada Fish Farmers Association (ACFFA) today released the proceedings from its 2014 Annual Workshop and Research Review.
 
Over 120 industry salmon farmers, industry stakeholders, scientists, researchers, provincial and federal government representatives, and community members attended the ACFFA’s fall conference and research workshop November 5 and 6, 2014 at the Huntsman Marine Science Centre in St. Andrews.
 
Workshop participants heard presentations on an award-winning collaborative partnership that relies on the expertise of salmon farmers to help recover wild salmon stocks; the latest innovations in net technology, climate change, ocean acidification, sea lice trends and eco-system based management of fish farming.
 
Along with our project collaborator the Aquaculture Collaborative Research and Development Program (ACRDP), this meeting was gratefully supported by:  Novartis Animal Health Fish Vet Group, Merck Animal Health, , Aqua Pharma, Pharmaq AS, Skretting, Solvay Chemicals, , , EWOS, Mitchell McConnell Insurance Ltd., Northeast Nutrition, and RDI Strategies Inc.
